Salmon Honoring Ceremony (All welcome)
This is a public/open ceremony being led by the 2008 Earth Medicine circle with the intention to honor Salmon.  As many know, the salmon populations this year are at a critical low.  The Carquinez Strait is the gateway to both the San Joaquin and the Sacramento Rivers (much of the watershed of Northern Califorina) and a major artery for the salmon.  No prior experience with ceremony is required.  Participants of all ages are welcome.  This will be a participatory, inclusive, and family-friendly ceremony on behalf of the salmon, their wellbeing and our continued co-existence.  Please spread the word and if you live anywhere in the San Francisco Bay Watershed, consider harmonizing with us and making ceremony for the Salmon on this day.

Location: Martinez Regional Shoreline (see flyer for details)

Time: 12noon - 3:00pm

Bring: Clothes to be comfortable with the weather.  A fold-out chair or cushion if standing for three hours will be hard for you.  Drums, rattles, and anything else for a shared altar.

Donations will be collected (no set cost) and offered to the Salmon Protection and Watershed Network.

Ceremony will still be held in the event of light rain, heat, cold, or light smoke.  Ceremony will be rescheduled in the event of heavy rains, lightning, or heavy smoke.
