Day of ceremony on Angel Island for wellness of the Bay
On Saturday, Dec 1st myself and whoever else wants to join me will spend a day doing ceremonial work on behalf of the wellness of the Bay. Angel Island is close to the epicenter of the spill and an easy choice for this type of work. Our day together will include a Peace Tree ceremony to enlist the support of the human ancestors of the land in the ongoing task of healing and transformation of toxins. There is no cost for this gathering and all are welcome, just let me know if you plan to attend.
The first ferry (
www.angelislandferry.com) from Tiburon leaves at 10am and the the last one returns from Angel Island at 3:30pm. I'll be staying out there the night before and will plan to meet anyone attending on Saturday at 10:20am on Angel Island where the ferry unloads then we'll all head back together on the 3:30pm ferry (unless you need to leave earlier). This event is rain or shine, so dress the part if you plan to attend. Also, I am open to coordinating with others if there are elements you would like to be part of our time together (probably about 2:30 - 3:00 hours of actual time in ceremonial space). If you can't join us but want to do solo or small group work at the same time (about 11:30am - 2:30pm) that day, that would be fabulous too. Doing the ceremonial work is a great complement and support to all those working hard to clean things up on the ground and trying to shift the politics behind the petroleum scene that leads to spills in the first place.
